In addition, Haivision has doubled its federal team recently to address the growing demands for performance video with metadata encoding technology, IP video distribution systems, and digital signage solutions. Haivision U.S. federal sales have grown more than 90 percent annually over the past two years as a result of increased federal requirements for performance video solutions.

In addition to promoting Vaughan to vice president, Haivision also named Eunice Zachry Hill as the sales director for U.S. Navy, Joint Forces, and civilian accounts; Tommy L. Coleman as the sales director for the U.S. Air Force and defense intelligence; and Alex Beck as a systems engineer.

They join Haivision's current federal team, which has further open positions. Haivision has deployed its Piranha™ low-latency H.264 encoder technology extensively to backhaul and distribute video with metadata from manned and unmanned airborne vehicles (UAVs, also known as drones).

For airborne applications, Haivision has also introduced a ruggedized version of its Makito™ technology, the Makito AIR™, which delivers H.264 HD video (to 1080p60) with metadata with remarkable encoding performance of fewer than 70 milliseconds. Haivision also offers its Furnace™ IP video system for secure delivery of live and recorded video and, more recently, its CoolSign digital signage solution.
