Autodesk forms New Worldwide Channel Sales Organization

Formation of New Organization and New Roles for Seasoned Autodesk Leadership Reinforce Autodesk's Commitment to Increasing Channel Growth and Success.

Autodesk, Inc.  a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software today announced the formation of the new Worldwide Channel Sales organization to be led by Bill Griffin, and new roles for the company's existing sales and channel leadership.

The appointments include Ray Savona as vice president of EMEA Channel Sales, Denis Branthonne as vice president of APAC Channel Sales and Gary Smith as senior director of Americas Channel Sales. These appointments are either new or expanded roles for each executive, and were undertaken to reinforce the company's commitment to driving increased growth, capability and capacity for Autodesk reseller partners.

Expanded Leadership to Drive Channel and Sales Growth

As part of Autodesk's goals to maximize the ability to scale, improve, and grow the worldwide network of channel partners, Bill Griffin has been named as the head of the new Worldwide Channel Sales organization, focusing on building and managing the programs supporting the growth of Autodesk's channel sales. This new organization will help Autodesk scale and grow its network of channel partners worldwide.

Ray Savona will assume the newly-created position of vice president of the EMEA channel sales team. In this role, Ray's primary responsibility will be to drive growth in the sale of Autodesk products through Autodesk's European channel partners. He will also direct the implementation and development of the many channel programs he created during his previous role leading the worldwide channel office.

As Senior Director of Americas Channel Sales, Gary Smith will lead the overall Americas channel sales team. The organization's main responsibility is to help Americas' reseller partners grow their businesses, and overall capability and capacity.

Similarly, Denis Branthonne will assume the newly-created position of vice president of the APAC channel sales team. In this role, Denis's primary responsibility will be to drive channel sales across APAC, to develop new engagement models with partners serving the enterprise segment and to support partner's capacity and capability development in emerging markets.
