DENSO supplying handheld terminals through TTID
DENSO supplying handheld terminals and scanners to their customary high standards and TTID looking after European sales and distribution
Toyota Group subsidiary DENSO is distributing its handheld terminals and scanners in Europe exclusively via TTID (Toyota Tsusho ID Systems GmbH).
Operating as an independent company, TTID will continue to improve sales service and ensure that current high standards are maintained in the future.
This separation of name and organisational structure signals that responsibilities are now clearly delineated, with DENSO supplying handheld terminals and scanners to their customary high standards and TTID looking after European sales and distribution. "We are an independent trading company. A major part of our operation is acting as the sole outlet for DENSO in the automatic data acquisition market," explains Keiji Nakamura, Managing Director at Toyota Tsusho ID Systems GmbH.
"More broadly speaking, however, we are specialists in the area of ID technology where our independence and expertise help us get closer to our customers." As an independent distributor, TTID is able to identify market trends more readily, provide feedback to manufacturers and react faster to customer demands.
For example, the launch of the new DENSO BHT-700 is being backed up by numerous support measures, including further development of the Authorized Repair Center scheme. This program, intended to safeguard product quality, ensures that only registered dealers are allowed to repair DENSO products. TTID also sets great store by its Partner Plus Program designed to reinforce the skills base of partner organisations and increase customer satisfaction.
In addition to safeguarding service quality, TTID is also working towards setting and achieving strategic sales targets. At the moment, expansion into Scandinavia is high on the agenda. "With ADC Nordic AB we have managed to secure one of the biggest distributors in the region. This means we now have a strong local partner who matches up to our ideas of quality," adds Keiji Nakamura, evidently well satisfied with current developments. But TTID has already registered some successes in other European countries, including Spain where it has forged a promising alliance with SATO IBERIA. Further cooperative ventures with European partners are in the pipeline.
